Educated to MBA level and with a professional background in finance, Gerard Garcia spent his early part of his career working with one of the top 5 global auditing practices outside the UK. He then moved on to the commercial and industrial sectors, which he has never left.
Gerard has always been involved in – and developed a passion for – organisational change processes, information systems design and implementation as well as software application development to improve company processes and work flow efficiency, as he firmly believes that these are critical to business success.
As Managing Director of Genesa, Gerard has led the diversification of the company offering over the past 6 years. He expanded Genesa’s historical role as a telecommunication engineering and installation provider of the 1990s to embrace three further business areas: IP CCTV and Access Control systems design and installation, security product distribution and technical support, software development using longstanding internal skills.
In Gerard’s own words: “As an engineering company we have since 1992 pioneered development, deployment and use of IT solutions at all levels of our company to manage our own contracts. We are now making wider use of this valuable expertise as well as the ones gained in IP CCTV and access control to go one step further and offer innovative solutions and quality support to our customers, to help them manage their ever changing business challenges.”
Gerard is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and a Member of the Institute of Directors, but he firmly believes these credits mean little if you cannot deliver value to your customers.
